For best results before applying I would hydrate lips with a lip balm. It is best applied with your fingertips and dabbed on your lips until fully blended. The scent of hemp and peppermint oil is preset but very subtle.  If you are looking for a sheer finish use the product sparingly. For a more opaque buildable look reapply until desired intensity is achieved. For that full luscious look finish it off  with a clear gloss such as Lip Tar Clear.
